Location: Burbank | I today I put on the Ovation shirt I bought last year at the Fender booth and went to the DW room. I walked to a PR type guy behind a counter and said sooooooo, what are you guys gonna do with the brand? He looked at me puzzled and said what brand? I grabbed my shirt and shook it at him and said "this one". he put on his salesman fake smile and says, " the wheels are still turning on that one, we haven't decided what to do, it is still too early to say. We have been pounded with phone call from many people asking just like you. There is a lot of excitement being generated by the interest. We very much would like to keep the brand alive just not sure how." He then said since you have an Ovation shirt would like a DW shirt?
Who knows, don't hold your breath I guess but stay tuned......
Oh yeah I went to the fender booth. They had 2 rooms. A fender and squire only room and then next door they had Jackson, EVH, Gretsch and very sadly Takamine was shoved in a corner with no lights or chairs or anything. To me it was disrespectful to the brand. |

Location: Northwest Arkansas | Fender makes 2 electric guitars and a couple of basses. If they didn't have them. There would be no Fender. Because their acoustics are crap. I think every Squire ever made is on CL or Ebay.
