I know this is an extremely long shot, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask; I'm looking for an EARLY Balladeer neck that is in very good condition and finished in lacquer.  I'm not sure when Ovation switched over to a urethane/poly??? finish, but I suspect it's going to have to be one of the first hundred units.  Perhaps someone has one that the body was damaged beyond repair, but the neck is intact.

I didn't think they ever used lacquer, but my memory of the mid 60s is a little fuzzy.

I remember where I was when John Kennedy was shot and when Armstrong landed on the moon, but not where I was when MLK or Bobby were shot. I vaguely remember The Glen Campbell summer replacement for the Smothers Brothers. I spent 3 of those years in North Dakota. Maybe there wasn't much happening there to remember.
