Is it me or Ovation seems to be more popular in Europe and specially in Asia than it is in USA. I've seen many, many Ovation videos from France, Japan and other Asian countries. Is there something about their taste that drive them to Ovation, apparently, more than in America?

I'm not sure what metric you would use to measure "popularity". I would guess in terms of actual number of Ovations sold that the US and Asia would dwarf the number sold in Europe. Perhaps a 35 hour work week leaves you more time to actually play and record nice videos.

Maybe overseas people haven't figured out that Ovation has been neutered by Fender

If you live in Europe, ALL Ovations are imports.

If I would have to work that much I would stop playing guitar and concentrate on buying guitars only.

Best regards,

Kurt

I would keep playing guitar but would have to forsake my antique popsicle stick collection!! And that is my retirement nest egg!!

Same here in Australia, but those with discerning tastes prefer US made Ovations over the others.
