FET 3 Opinions

I have two Ovations: an S868 Elite Special (Flaming Red) super shallow and a 6768 Elite Standard (Orange Sunburst) Deep Bowl. The Elite Standard comes with a FET 3 preamp. Good for fingerpicking less good for strumming. SSB + old type pickup + FET3: Full and relatively sweet sound, Good for strumming and fingerpicking. FET3: 3 band eq + volume, 1/4" jack Optima: same + tuner + notch filter + XLR I like the FET3 but the notch filter is a neat feature. The FET3 seems more sturdy/robust than the Optima
