I don't know what to say about this guityar other than the obvious - it is simply spectacular. The SJ size is a perfect compromise to the big dreadnaughts with extreme comfort and killer sound. If you have have never heard a maple bodied Collings you owe yourself a favor to do so. Sonic and visually stunning in every regard. There is not a scratch or mark on the guitar no obvious signs of play or wear. MSRP new is around $4200.

From the Collings website: COLLINGS SJ MAPLE
The SJ is our version of what is commonly called a small Jumbo. Although the 16 inch lower bout is slightly wider than a dreadnought, and the sides almost as deep, the tight curve at the waist creates in a very different sound chamber. SJs, especially examples in maple, typically have a more pronounced midrange response when compared to a dreadnought, making them ideal candidates for players looking for the bass and overall volume of a large guitar, but with lots of treble clarity and midrange crunch.

Location: Phoenix AZ | I think this one was Beal's. I dunno. There were a lot of Collings changing hands back in the Amelia Island days. Only reason I'm selling it is that I "might" have accidently bought myself a xmas present with a bit more bling. Sometimes I'm an easy target.
If y'all recall I brought this one to the last Bobbo-OFC-Fest and it pretty much cut through the mix like a hot buttered knife in a marshallow factory. |

Location: SoCal | If that was Beal's then it's an incredible instrument. I was very impressed. Those were the days before all hell broke loose with the economy and toys like this were out of the question. Whoever buys this is going to be very very happy..... |
