For Sale: 2008 ADAMAS COLLECTORS EDITION

Up for sale is my 2008 Collector. This guitar is virtually unplayed. Number 65 of 100 produced worldwide. A slot head 1-3/4 inch nut width cannon in every regard. Due to the small number made this guitar never got much publicity but those who own them (includes quite a few OFC members) universally love them. The original Slothead was the crowning jewel that started the whole thing and this stunning 2008 model basically brought the Adamas history as we knew it full circle into a glorious conclusion.

Everything about this guitar is 100% as-new perfect in every way. Period.

o Deep contour bowl cutaway
o Hand laid fiberglass cloth bowl
o Carbon graphite and birch composite top
o Composite suspension ring binging with gold leaf
o 13 piece wood epaulet bass side
o 2 piece walnut neck with two way truss rod

o 1-3/4 inch nutwidth
o Slotted peghead with grained ivoroid Waverly tuners

I was so lucky to be able to buy #57 a few months ago. It's an outstanding instrument.

Boy, between this, SO's koa and Sleepy's 1688, wow. Just wow. As anyone who has played any of these will attest to, three absolutely outstanding guitars that don't come around very often at all and, as we all know, will come around less and less in the future. Anyone who is interested and doesn't jump now is really losing out.

Good luck with the sales, gents. I know I speak for many when I say "If only I could..."

My dream guitar to be sure. Would make a fantastic Christmas present from me to.....me! Still, I've got too many kids in college for this beauty to be in my budget. Good luck Dave. You're selling a winner with this one.

Custom tuners. Had the factory skip the default tuners and custom drill for the upscale Waverly's and install them. You could do the upgrade yourself but you would end up with additional screw holes and probably ham fist the job. I think the tuners and the install by the factory was about $300.

The Waverly's look just awesome on the slothead. Fantastic guitar with a superb craftsmanship. I love the sound. Not as bold as the 30-CM or the BlueBoy, but so clear and so even in the response. I think is a consequence of the lightweight & contour body. A joy to play. IMHO definitely a keeper, but I understand that 6.5K USD is a good reason to part with it without too much pain. But the 2008 Lady is worth that amount to the last penny. Good luck with the sale!
