Location: south east Michigan | So… as of this post I join the ever less exclusive 5k post club.
I’m not sure I want to be part of any club that would have me as a member.
I remember back when 5k really meant something. Now with Cliff up past 10k it’s just not the same. I remember StandingOvation’s dramatic retirement at 5k. But look out… here comes Tupperware. He will lap me again before to long.
Besides all the fun & friendship I have benefited in another way. I’d like to think that my english composition skills have improved. Every post is like a mini-homework assignment where I am conscious of puncuation, spelling and clarity of thought. And I am always aware that Al was an English teacher before he just sold gear for a living.
Over the next few thousand posts I’d like to learn the lesson of brevity. Type fewer words yet have as much meaning. My mentor and model for this goal will of course be… Cliff.

Yes I will lap you. Twice. But that just proves what a pathetic life I really live. You are indeed in some very unique company.

If I catch up with Bill I might slit my throat.
Virtually, of course.
Oh, and... this is it, Phil. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Yeah, there was a glitch in the index and everyone lost there post totals until they made a new post, which then recovered the lost totals. So poor S.O. thought he had locked himself at 5000 forever, but he dropped to zero. The idiot had to repost something just to get his crown back. But now he was at 5001. So he deleted it (back when you could do such things) but the totals remain intact. So he tried it again. No luck. He did make two legitimate posts in the past couple of years. Look them up and you'll get a pretty good idea of his persona. Post 5003 was a response for Cliff saying simply "Bite Me" and post 5004 was a response to something about Taylor guitars and S.O. posted the simple, yet elegant, cartoon figure of Calvin pissing on a Taylor logo. Pretty much tells you all you need to know about him. Dave |

| Congrats Brad!
Or
Commiserations Brad!
Whichever you think is most appropriate.
BTW I seem to have managed to get past 3000 without ever discussing guitars. Is this a record? |
