Well I'm heading out to the Frankfurt Airport as I type this. I was a little shocked that they wouldn't allow me to check in more than three hours prior to the flight and in person only. I prepaid my tickets back in July. Wish me luck on being able to ride next to my wife (for that matter, to even be able to find a spot), AND for being able to take the guitar on with me, like on the way over. I've heard lots of Holiday travel nightmares, so I'm just a bit skiddish.

Vince - I just got back from France last night. It went smoother than I thought it would. Once I got to Philly of course everything slowed to a crawl. Hopefully you'll have no issues.

Travel safely,

Mike

Q: What's my favorite sight in the whole wide world?

A: Schipol airport in the rearview mirror during takeoff.

No disrespect to any of those wonderful foreign countries out there, but I travel about 175k a year and it's ALWAYS good to get home.

Wekcome back.

Made it back safely. GUITER-WISE, this was the best trip I have had yet. I was able to carry my guitar on every time. On the Luftansa and 1 of the United flights the guitar with Ovation hard case actually fit in the overhead compartment! The other times they put it in a locker up front. I must say it was like night and day compared to my previous trip through American. They didn't even seem to care what happened to my guitar. I will agree that it DOES feel good to be back in th U.S. (aside from the holiday delays and cancellations)I sure feel a lot safer here. And like Dorthy said on the Wizard of OZ ... "There's No Place Like Home"

I meant Guitar, not Guiter. I think it's time for me to get some sleep.
