After we arrived back in the states this morning I went into my work and found my (Ebay-purchased) Grey Burst Magnum 3 Bass had come in. I cannot believe just how filthy people can let an instrument get. That's ok though, that usually means I can pick it up cheaper because their pictures suck (: When I finish giving her the complet makeover I will post a picture. In the mean time, it's just a little too embarrassing. I am having a little problem getting the bridge off. I have been unscrewing everything I can find, but for some reason it doesn't seem to be coming off (any suggestions?). It does all seem to be in good working order, and even though it is filthy I now understand what you guys meant when you said the quality was outstanding on these things. Well anyway ... I'm gonna gat back to work on it.

There's a nut on the back of the bass, right under the back end of the tailpice. From memory I think it needs an allen key. You need to unscrew this completely then you will be able to remove the entire tailpiece, you don't need to do anything else, it should just lift right out.

there's a screw in the back. allen bolt actually. Undo that and it should come right off, watch for the ground wire.

Hey thanks. I actually had the screw on the back out, but it took a little persuation to get the tailpiece to lift out. There are a lot of dings on it, but that actually makes it cool with that "vintage" look (:
