He was a huge talent who shined before, during and long after the brief time that Cream was active. RIP Jack.
On a Cream-related note: there is a recent documentary film titled "Beware of Mr. Baker" that is (or was) available on Netflix streaming. I found it fascinating, (albeit somewhat disturbing.) Between many years of heroin addiction, a huge ego, many chips on his shoulder and an abrasive and combative personality, it's hard to believe that Ginger Baker is still with us and Jack is gone. Ginger granted the filmmaker quite a bit of access and interview time (and then punched the poor guy in the mouth.) After watching that film, I can understand why Cream was so short-lived.

All 3 of the Cream guys had huge substance abuse issues. It's amazing how many of these drugged out rock stars are still alive and functioning. I don't know HOW their brains aren't completely scrambled. I was on Klonopin for only 3 months years ago and it almost killed me.
