Location: Scotland | They're here at last! And they are even nicer than I expected. The American black walnut versions are an excellent match in terms of grain and colour for Adamas guitars and the minis look fantastic on the 47 reissue (I imagine they'll look just as good on the OFC guitar) They really complimemt the headstock and add to the warm, organic look of the neck. The full size walnut are ideal for Adamas 1 guitars.
The full range at this rime, in both full-size and mini consists of:
Rosewood, American Black Walnut, Grained Ivoroid and Faux Tortoise shell. All have internal metal bearin to prevent the button splitting.
Special limited offer for OFC members - $65 per set including shipping.
Here's a set of walnut mimis on my 47:
And a closeup showing grain/colour match
The grained ivoroid look really classy on guitars with neck binding. Here's a full-size set on my Custom Folklore.
The whole range can be seen here
M6 buttons
I have limited quantities of these, and they will fit any Schaller M6 machine, full-size, mini and nylon body. They will not fit Gotoh, Grover or Ping, though I an working on a solution for that now. |

Location: Scotland | Running low on full-size walnut, only 3 sets left. I've ordered more, due mid-Jan. OK for all other sizes and materials for now. If anyone wants anything special (lacewood, zebrawood, solid abalone or whatever) let me know and I'll check price, availability and lead time for the next order. Still no Koa, sorry. |

Congrats, no word to describe your guitars and your work with it, that's what we call Love and I love that ! My old Marcel's Adamas Slothead would like those tuners, probably the same than yours on your 47, how to do order it please ?
Thanks and best regards from France

Location: Scotland | Update. Just fitted a set of full-size tortie to a Tacoma JK28C with Gotoh machines. So despite what I was told my the guy who makes them, they will fit Schaller and Gotoh. I'll post other makes as I find out which are compatible. |

These grained ivoroids are stunning (as well as the walnuts are)! Put them on the JL3, and they give this guitar that certain vintage look. Look at the grain of these buttons - just awesome.
I am sure they would match a slothead with ivoroid binding even better - but, til now ;) there is no such guitar in my home.
The walnuts have to wait - the guitar for them is still in the make.
Thanks Paul,
Kurt |

Location: Tennessee | Nice, Kurt. I ordered a set of walnut for the OFC and a set of Rosewood for the Lakewood, and have been contemplating a set of the ivoroid for the JL3. Your picture has me convinced. PT, sending you another email ... |

The walnuts are now on my beloved pooburst 1687, to acclimatize, but they are waiting for a custom ordered OFC.
Bobbo, great choice. You'll love those ivoroid ones. They are absolutely beautiful!

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I wish I could take close up photos as well as some of my fellow OFCers, but here are a few more examples of Temp's custom buttons. The first pic shows the layered ivoroid buttons on the custom Koa VXT with the layered ivoroid binding from the Hamer shop. The match is nearly perfect. The headstock also now has a custom Koa TRC thanks to Al and our good friends in New Hartford. The second pic is of Al's Koala guitar with faux tortoise buttons. I was hoping these buttons would match the binding, but they are a bit more brown than red. On the plus, they are a very close compliment to the grain in the Koa top. Now I'm after a walnut set for the OFC guitar.

I might be interested in a set of the Walnuts myself . . .
If I take the original gold buttons off the Slothead & stash 'em away, they'll stay . . well, . . "original". . .
e-mail me when y'think y'might have some available . . . no rush . . . |
