Location: Boise, Idaho | I read all the threads and posts about you guys getting Ovation guitars for Christmas. Well I got an Ovation, but not a guitar. Linda bought one of those Ovation stools that have been on ebay regularly. I didn't have any thing to sit on down in the basement except the old recliner. They are very nice quality and the 24 inch high one is just right for playing a guitar with my knee properly above the height of my butt. My Ovations didn't slip once, even without a strap.
She also tried to get one of those Ovation clocks, but got sniped both times.
Now whenever any of you come to visit, you'll have a place to sit. |

i've noticed those "O" stools on the bay and wished it didn't cost so much to ship to me. (there is a price to pay for living in paradise!)
i have a nice "fender" stool but it is higher and not as comfortable as the 24 incher would be.
so sit cool on your stool and neat on your seat and revel in the thought that your dear one is still your biggest fan. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | A 24" stool was one of the first things I placed in the bandroom. Mine says Fender, but I need to check out those that say Ovation. I have four other stools as well. If I ever find out who's been leaving these other stools in my bandroom . . . |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I think the 30 inch that is still available would be too high, because the bar where you rest your foot is still at 12 inches off the ground. You'd need really long legs to keep your O from slipping.
Most of these were BINs of $49 or best offers. She got mine for $35, which appears to be about the lowest price he accepts. If I can find another 24 inch one, I may get it, just in case I ever have 2 guitar players visit. I think it's happened once before. Now I need to lose the weight I've gained over the last couple months so I don't wear it out so fast. |

Thanks for the 'review'. I've been eyeing up those stools as well, but wasn't sure which height to get. Looks like it is time to get in line with the rest of the gang pick one up .

Location: Warren,Pa. | Sometime earlier this year (2007) one of the teens at church asked for my help in buying an Elite T. He was gonna get one from GC for say $800 with an Op30. I found him one on ebay for the same price with an OpPro AND 2 of those stools to boot! The stools are up on the platform in the cafe at church. It's a constant irritant to our senior pastor who thinks the sun rises and sets on his Taylor.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I don't think so. I don't know how much straight sections they have in the 30 inch size. I'll check to see if you could take the seat off and cut 6 inches off the top.
The easiest solution might be to contact bauerhillboy's pastor and see if you could get a couple from him cheap. |

THEN . . I found out that they want you to mail-in the entire packages (I had just been ripping the "points" off the corners, throwing 'em in a cigar box, & pitching the rest . . . who the hell wants t'store all those empty packages?!?!?!?).
Ended up "tossing" 'em . . . |

I reminded them that I purchased an expensive guitar from them last year but I'm not sure if that had any impact. This seems to be the going rate for these stools at this time. I agree with Mark . . . maybe a 30" model will be o.k. and at this price, I'll certainly give it a try. I paid way more than this for my 24" Fender stool. |

For some reason, I thought you guys were talking about WOODEN stools (hence, the "cut the legs down" comment) . .
I use a couple of round, "gas-lift" swivel drafting stools with 5 casters on the bottom.
I like 'em cuz they can go anywhere from just below "standing" height to down to "toilet" height (and anywhere in between) with the touch of a little lever.
I like having the casters as I can pull the stool underneath me (or push it out of the way) with my foot. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I'm sure there are more practical stools, but I like mine and I like the fact my wife contributed to my obsession. Waskel is correct, the cat doesn't fight me for it. He can have my recliner, if he wants to give up my recliner upstairs. I've been trying to keep the 4 cats out of the basement, but it's been tough with all the relatives around. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I played a few tunes for the family this morning while they were in the kitchen and I used one of my new stools...I played both the 47RI and the 08C...really comfortable and using a guitar strap made playing effortless...I really like this stool...I bought a wooden stool at Sam’s Club a while back and paid more than this...and it wasn't nearly as comfortable...a definite part of my set-up now. |

Now all I need is someone to sit on them. Watching Oklahoma get beat in the Fiesta bowl wasn't nearly as exciting as it was last year. I got in quite a bit of guitar practicing. |
