I agree with you. Simple is better. I rarely touch the EQ on my 1758 and I love the simple stacked tone/volume on my Country Artist. I'm sitting here with my 97 Collectors and I looked inside at the PC board thinking, Boy a lot of potential problems.
BTW Jeff. I'd turn the Orange one. But then I'm from Tennessee and we like Orange down here. :D |

Your 'Suck' knob is turned up just past 7, while the
'Cool' button is not engaged.
Turning the Suck down to 1.5 or less while making sure the Cool button is depressed should solve all your problems.
BTW: The Cool button feature does not work for DADGAD tunings. No one knows why. |

On topic - simpler is ALWAYS better for me. My favorite preamp is the Optima not for the bells & whistles, but just for the actual tone and the tuner. |
