Location: Connecticut | Hi everyone. I'm a beginner player in my late 30's but I've had a love of Ovation guitars for over 25 years.
My dad has worked for Kaman Aerospace in Moosup (then Bloomfield) for many years, including when they had the guitar shop there. When I was about eight or so, he brought me home one of the Academy Ovations. Unfortunately, it was really too big for me at the time and I got distracted as kids do. I eventually sold that when I got older.
In my 20's, I was gifted an inexpensive Applause 6 string and started to learn some basics. Then, kids came along and I found myself too busy to put the time in to my guitar. Now that my kids are older, the bug has really bitten now and I am determined to learn. One of my biggest motivators is getting a new-to-me made in the USA Ovation.
