I've had a soundhole cover in my 1860 for the past couple of months since I've been playing a couple of small gigs. It serves its purpose and I've had no feedback issues since putting it in.
I've just been having a bit of a mid afternoon strum (not plugged in) and my guitar actually sounds louder than I've ever heard it. It's an 1860 SSB so it doesn't normally put out much volume when played purely acoustically.
We're in mid summer down here and it's pretty hot...could the weather have something to do with it or have my ears been playing tricks on me. I thought the soundhole cover would dampen the sound rather than enhance it. Or could it be that because I've been playing only through an amp for a couple of months that I've forgotten what the acoustic sound was like.

It's not cold here you big wuss. Don't expect me to turn the heating on next week. And don't spend all day whining either.
Would you like me to warm some Fosters for you? Or a mug of hot vegemite?

It's been pretty cold everywhere this winter, with a lot of areas getting record snowfalls and temperatures. I, for one, am grateful for global warming. It would be a whole lot worse without it...
