Believe it or not, it was 69 here today. The second highest January day on record.

Sunny too.

I was in Canandaigua, NY late last week where the temperature topped out at 14. I don't mind it so much; probably because I get to go back home to California after a couple of days.

On the plus side, the extreme cold slows down the mass exodus out of here. Rumor is you fall off the planet once you hit the edge of town 'cause you never see anyone coming back.

It actually was warm enough to take my Martin outside. :D

As for the road kill it gets better in the spring when the Skunks go into their mating season.

Most meat up north is stamped "USDA", down here it's "Goodyear".

Funny we have had some real cold weather up here lately but the past few days have been record temps on the warm side. It hit 66 in Albany today! Hows that!

Ya picked a bad day to adverise for your warm sunnin, shit kickin, porch rockin, guitar pickin, southern state.
With that said..............you'll have plenty more chances to advertise before we are done up here. May is a long way off.

At first I thought it was a scene from Deliverance, but that porch was higher and he didn't play an Ovation.

Mike, I'd take a picture of me playing outside, but it's too hot there. I'll just sit in the AC and play.

Or as Debanjo used to say to me in a phone call on the first really cold day in Asheville "F@ck Winter"

Actually my Family is from New England. But I was born at Fort Campbell, KY.
They say that is in Kentucky, but anybody from Tennessee KNOWS that it is in Clarksville, TN.
Much later, my Mom and Step-Dad moved to Holladay, TN. Totally out in the sticks!

I was rather hoping we'd get by without that shameful redundance!

Blah, Blah, Blah, etc., I am a bigshot blowhard with too many guitars, none of which are anything special, and I probably can't even play...

When you were in Memphis did you get a chance to go down to Beale St? Some really good pickers hang out there. Also did you get a chance to hang out with Elvis out at Graceland? Of course you could also find him down at Krispy Creame. :D
