Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | I must be crazy I think. This year has been a roller coaster. My job has been more complicated than usual, and my schedule seems relentless nowadays. Add to that the closing of the factory, and my resultant resentment (especially towards Fender), and I have seriously batted around the idea of not doing a calendar this year. "It's too much trouble.....It's soooo time-consuming.......I'm still too grumpy......etc...."
BUT DARN IT! I feel like I would be giving up on Ovations, and the Catholic in me tends to harbor lots of guilt about all kinds of things so I really don't need to borrow more! KnowwhutImean? So I'm gonna give this a shot. The problem is, I've been self-debating since May! (You know what really stinks? Months back, I was literally about to sign in to the OFC to post a new calendar thread when I heard about the factory closing. I've worked very hard to convince myself it was not an omen related to this project.) Because of this self-inflicted delay, I have to humbly ask everyone here if you think we can get it done in time? Specifically, I would need photo submissions FAST....as in....VERY FAST! Are you all up for it? If so, tell me here, and I will work on a quote. Hopefully, it will be similar to last year's. That calendar got some good reviews while be relatively wallet-friendly, and I have a couple of ideas to make this one just different enough to stay interesting. For those who never got hold of one in the last couple of years, I have archived out-dated pages in my "Albums" here on the OFC. Links are below. Take a peek to get a feel for how these look. OFC 2013 Calendar OFC 2014 Calendar
So please....PLEASE.....let me know. Who can submit photos relatively ASAP? (I would need 5 or 8 pictures of your instrument from various angles at high resolution.) And while we're at it, who wants to buy a calendar or five or so? Here's hoping we can all pull this together in time for me to get them to you in early December. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I was thinking that I'd beg off this year, since all my guitars are in storage pending the eventual move to a smaller house. Then I remembered that the UK2 is out waiting for me to replace the nut. Most all the rest have been in a calendar already. I'll try to get a couple of pics of the UK2. I'll see if I can find a brown Porsche to match. |

The 2014 Calendars (first to ship to Japan) were awesome and well worth it. I'll definitely take 5 when the time comes! Thanks Patch! |

I could make a calendar from your guitars alone! Pick me one you haven't used for the calendar before and send them along. |

While I would dearly love for one of my Os to be immortalized in an OFC calendar, I don't have anything worth immortalizing, except for perhaps the Book Elite.
So, unless you want pics of a 1719-1, 1655-4, 2078-TX5 or a GC24D-WRY, you'll have to settle for my agreement to buy one or two calendars. |

Hey dan what about the 1619-4 you rebuilt, that bearclaw spruce is beautiful and you work is worthy of being memorialized in a calendar. |

Thanks to all who have submitted so far. I wish I could use them all, but if the ones I have are high-def enough, I have more than I need. |
