Location: Stow, Ohio | This guitar has special meaning behind it.
A few weeks ago on another forum, a woman asked if we would send Christmas Cards to her son's unit in Iraq. The sad part is her son lost his life in Iraq on May 23rd. I asked her if I could have her permission to send a guitar to Daniel's unit as a type of memorial to him and she said "YES".
A few days later this guitar arrived in the mail as a donation to the "Guitars for Grunts" project. I immediately emailed the donor and told him I had something very special planned for his guitar and told him the details.
A day or so later I am checking the GFG P.O. Box again and I find a letter from Daniel's mother. sitting in the parking lot of the Post office I open her letter, and immediately the tears started flowing, in the envelope was a letter thanking me for what I was doing, a check for $100.00 and a specially made Dog Tag in memory of Daniel, which now hangs from my key ring.
This guitar will be on it's way to Daniel's unit in Iraq this weekend.
