| I'm curious about the model number for this Ovation Legend. What would the S be for on a 1617-5S? I understand that 1617 is the model number for the Legend A/E version, and I think that the -5 is for the finish. Only thing that I can think of that the S might be for is a factory second. The inside label reads Special Guitar by Kaman Music Group, and the model number and S.N. are penciled in. |

Location: CT | If you do a search, there are a couple of threads on this guitar from when it was up on ebay... multiple times. The Kaman Music Group labels were used on non-production guitars. The hand written sn is the date of manufacture. The 5S seems to be the color or 'Black Sunburst', a sunburst from orange to black without the standard red tint in between. |
