Location: Utah | That's right, Rebekkah Goes Swimming has announced the launch of their spring tour. Well, actually they just booked their first gig at a local venue. Rebekkah consists of two teenage girls, one being my 15 yr old daughter, playing Ovations and singing folksy indy stuff.
Their MySpace band page shows their funloving approach to music and life. Most of their songs were recorded on the fly with one mic into a Mac laptop and are lacking in polish. The latest song, Pants on Fire was recorded in our living room using Guitar Tracks software to record mulitple individual tracks and add a bit of processing. The guitars were plugged in, not recorded with a mic.
Anyhow, a proud papa here, now that the daughter has gotten a real gig.
The photo is their intended first CD cover, if they can come up with a song that fits the image. |

Location: GA USA | Fly, when I saw the thread, I was just back from the g8rbowl where Beal taught us a song by Grayson Capps called "Drink a Little Poison Before You Die". "Liar Liar Pants on Fire" is a line in that song, so I wondered....
I guess we may want to wait a while before those girls start doing drinking songs, though. |
