Location: Nashville, TN | Talked to a guy from Vegas today..says he's got a 1978 Ovation round hole-round back 12 string model number 1515-4...says it's natural with chrome tuners..absolute mint...sounds like he doesn't know much about guitars to me...says it has no serial number on the headstock back...any ideas out there on what it could be? Thanx dan |

Location: Scotland | sounds like it's a 1615-4 Pacemaker 12-string. Serial number should be up by the neck-block on silver tape. |

Dave Not if he's right about it being a '78. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | If it says 1515 on it I would tend to believe that rather than the guys recollection of when he got it. Maybe he is a decade off. If he made a typo and it should be 1615 than it could be that old (or older), but if it is really a model 1515, than I would have to say it is an Ultra. |

Location: Tennessee | Definitely an Ultra and definitely not a '78 since the Ultra line started in about 1982 or so. It might be a USA model ... I think they made some of them in Moosup before the production went to Korea. More likely, it is a Korean guitar with one of the serial numbers that don't map to the USA production -- the seller probably looked up the serial number and it fell in the 1978 bracket. Have him look on the label to see if it says Made in USA or Made in Korea. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Slothead?? I think all the Pacemakers were slotheads, but Ultras weren't. The website says the Pacemakers had chrome tuners with pearloid buttons. |
