No I replaced the Ovation saddle pickup assembly with a regular generic piezo; only trbl was replacing the 1/8 jack, with the original Ovation jack which was a little shorter then the one which the generic came. It def sounds better acoustically to my ears and about the same through the headphones maybe a little better

I used a 1/4" bone saddle blank and an 1/8" Gibson saddle which added up to 3/8 which is pretty much the width of the slot that holds the Ovation pickup saddle assembly and a generic ebay piezo for like 6.50. I like the sound of the cheap piezo so much I bought 3 more. I got a Takamine that I play a lot an EC-139R arch top classical, really an odd duck but I love it, anyway the pickup is dying so I am going to replace it and I have 2 more that have dead piezos a Degas Everly Brothers copy and a Tak 363 which is really a nice little axe sooner later I'll fix them also
