A little good news for a change - ran into a long time Ovation employee yesterday who informed me that service will still be available at the old factory in New Hartford. A familiar name will be retained to manage it.

I asked whether Guild service would be included; he said no.

Warranty?
For me it won't be about the cost... it will be about the people doing it.
I'd pay to have it done rather than have some Fender Dipsh*t ruin a favorite guitar.

It might affect my GAS for a new 1617 ALE. The GAS pains were getting pretty bad, but seemed to go away with the announced closure. This thread caused me to look to see what was still available.
