| Since I'm only 26, I have a feeling most people think I listen to all this new crap. Curious what music people listen to? For me:
Grateful Dead
Santana
Widespread Panic
Phish
Lots of Reggae
CSN&Y
Bob Dylan
Keller Williams (for any guitarist, you should love him)
Arlo Guthie
The Ramones
Sublime
Van Morrison
David Grisman
Leo Koetke
Pink Floyd
Many more but I don't really listen to any artist that even started after 1990 |

Location: Marlton, NJ | SJO - that's a pretty good list. I had Sublime on in the car earlier. Just picked up George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass". Flaming Lips, lots and lots of Blues. I was looking for Matt Smith on ITunes and came up with a couple of compilations from someone named Popa (I forgot the whole name... sorry!). They're NY Blues CDs and Matt has a few songs on both of them. Floyd is always close by. I've had Fogelberg on - we played some at G8rfest. |

Location: Reno, NV | I was a "metalhead" in my younger years..
Metallica
Megadeth
Iron Maiden
Tool
Danzig
Type-O-Negative
a few years ago my interests have changed...
Pink Floyd
Radiohead (early years)
Led Zeppelin
Rod Stewart
Beatles
Eagles
PearlJam
The Band
Traveling Wilburys
I still listen to metal every now and then, but it doesn't dominate the CD player like it used to when I was 18. Im more interested in tone and variety these days, than speedy riffs and powerchords. I think that you definitely grow out of music as you get older. Im in your shoes, at 28 years old. I do agree that 99% of the mainstream music being produced today is mostly garbage, save a select few. |

I listen to a lot of the 70's/80's:
Van Halen
The Eagles
CCR
Bon Jovi
Aerosmith
Eric Clapton
...plus basically anything you'd play on a "classc rock/oldies" station - lots of great stuff there.
Most new stuff is seriously garbage, particularly the pop/rap/hiphop genres. Some decent rock bands out the now, but nothing like the classics. I really like Skillet and Alter Bridge.
...oh, and 75% of anything country (mostly 80's & 90's) |
