Location: Lakewood, Ohio | I looked inside my Adamas and noticed that 3 of the bracings arent completely glued down near the ends in the lower bottom bout toward the end pin. (about 2-3 inches from the ends inward). Also the bracing on the upper top bout toward the neck is raised a bit, about a half inch long. They dont buzz and arent really loose, just not glued down. Is this normal? is it worth getting repaired. it doesnt seem to affect the sound, however Im not sure because i dont know if it was this way from the factory or just happened over time. If i never looked inside, i probably never would have noticed. its kinda of like reading the ingrediants on a hot dog package, you almost regret the curiosity. |

| If you're the original owner send it back to the factory for warranty repair. If you're not the original owner send it back to the factory anyway - I don't know that local luthiers would know how to work on a carbon fiber top. |

Location: South of most, North of few | Todd, that's why mechanics never check the compression on anything they own, it's never good news. Put the cover back on it and fugettaboudit unless it starts to give you some problems. If you are the original owner, call or email john or kim. It may be something in the original design that's set up that way. |

Had the same issue with my "used" Adamas 2080. I sent it back and it cost me a couple hundred to get it fixed. As with yours, I peeked in and saw a couple of the braces loose.
In my case it also did not cause any buzzing or noise to speak of, but I am convinced it affected the sound as I could not get ....not sure what it is called....maybe "harmonics" at the 5th fret that I could on the 12th and 7th. Afterwards I could. Also it seemed like it had flat spots that it doesn't now.
As mentioned...if you are the original owner... send it back and get it right.
Their customer service has been second to none for me. |

Location: Lakewood, Ohio | Do the braces just come loose, mine almost looks like they never bothered to glue it correctly. There doesnt seem to be any evidence of glue or residue where they are loose. Maybe they only patially glue the braces. Dont they have a qc department? |

Location: Lakewood, Ohio | I got to wondering, are loose/unglued bracing ends the norm in adamas top guitars? i checked the insides of my elite and celebrity, which are wood top and the bracing is glued perfectly. For that matter, what glue/adhesive does adamas use? I would think glueing a wood brace to a carbon fiber top requires some special glue. The wood to wood in an ovation could simply use tight bond, or elmers for that matter. I wonder if all adamas carbon fiber guitars have loose brace ends. |

Maybe the top took a hit somewhere along the line and it popped them loose. They should be glued down. |

Location: Lakewood, Ohio | Does super glue work? It usualy doesnt do well with wood and the braces are wood. I thought about trying the thicker version of super glue, the type that has the consistency of model glue. What glue do they use at the factory? |
