I've come across a couple of used Ovations online that I have no experience with but the typical gaseous curiosity about. The things is, I can't find much about them online information-wise. So...who ya gonna call, post to, whatever? :p :)

Specifically, they are models 1663 and 1614. I'd like to know the specs, but more importantly I'd like to know their reputation, how they stand up to their contemporaries, etc. And if anyone knows, what would be a fair price for them in decent shape?

I appreciate your answers everyone. The knowledge on this forum is truly impressive. Especially if you like guitars! :D

Thanks in advance.

For the specs, look them up on the Discontinued Models on the Ovation website. The 1614 is the Folklore, which succeeded the Josh White. Great fingerstyle guitar. Do a search for any of those words on this site and you'll find a bunch of info.
I think the 1663 is a Classic with a cutaway, and Spanish pine top. That's another form of cedar.

Do a search and you'll find plenty of info. I know that I've written paragraphs about the Folklore. Dave
