The tone was just stupid awesome. I was quite impressed.
The $3600. was a bit more than I thought though...
One of the last new things out of the MS and a continuing example of what is now lost.
Dang....

Location: Taxed To Death State | I really like the new headstock look and tuners, but am still on the fence about the funky shaped sound hole. I would like to play one though. I think you are probably right about the price, might be a bit much. Maybe the sentiment of most. You can snag a real nice 2nd-hand Adamas for that. I see quoie a few for sale online in that range and they aren't moving. From a collectors standpoint I think they will be sought after some day since they are a quite different than a traditional Ovation. Wait a while, I'm sure Guitar Center will be forced to blow them out once overseas made O's tank. |

I believe that those are Composite Acoustic guitars.

Location: NJ | they sound good play nice as for the look????????
no comment
but WTH
the soundhole and O look like the oprah mag logo I'm surprised she did not sue
the soundhole is once again a soundhole du jour like so many companies do and ovation did not have to do since they have an original alternative soundhole the epaulets
I thought the overlay on the headstock was poorly done.
the prototype I played had a pin bridge........why????? some think pin bridges sound better but you have a guitar that was KNOWN for pinless bridge.
don't get me started today |

Well if you look high in the thread there's one on fleabay with a BIN of 1900 and a best offer option, so they might let it go for much less than the BIN. Well I just put in a lowball offer for what it's worth, looking for a dread but this might do too.
