According to your great experience what are the main differences between the two 12 string at the level of sound and playability? Is it a good deal to convert an Ov 1758 with a 1618? |

Location: Burbank | My experience has been that 1758 with the 14 frets to the body has more a beefier sound that I prefer. For a 12 string it has more low end to it and is more balanced. The 1618 and 1615 are 12 frets to the body and have a very high end focus. More harpsicord/mandoline sounds. It depends on which of those you like. I have had both, kept the 1758 and sold the other. I know there are those here that love the 1618 and 1615. As said before its ice cream, pick your flavor. |

Location: Italy | I played a 1618 only once and my left hand fell in love with his fretboard (very similar to 1613 model). My 1758 is harder to play fingerstyle. Maybe my guitar setup isn't perfect... |

Location: Jet City | I'm with Mario. I've had 5 different slot head 12s now, and sold them all. I had hoped to find one that spoke to me.
They're the Elvis Costello of Ovations in my mind. LOTS of people love 'em, but I just don't get it.
I have the best wood topped 12 in the world now. It's a Custom Elite LX they built special at the mothership for an OFC member (that was silly enough to sell it) |

It's a 12 string Elite LX before they had an Elite 12 String LX. The label calls it a C2078LX 12 String, but that was never a production model.

Fingerboard Radius - 10’’
Inlay Material & Pattern - Inlays - Abalone fretboard inlays, and abalone binding (typical custom elite bling)
Neck Construction - 5 Piece
Neck Finish - Satin Urethane
Neck Reinforcement - Tension Rod - ANS Dual Acting
Neck Shape - Ovation LX Soft V Shape
Neck To Body Joint Location - 14th Fret
Neck Width At Nut - 1 7/8”
Peg head Angle - 10 Degree
Pre-amp - OP-PRO Preamp Assembly w/ 1/4” Jack
Rosette / Epaulets - Epaulette Assembly, Cutaway
Scale Length - 25 1/4”

Location: Italy | I've seen your website.... the guitar is absolutely wonderful. My compliments to your collection. The Pacemaker isn't a great 12 string? I've seen a lot of videos of Brian May played a Pacemaker and it was not so bad.... |

Location: Jet City | Like Mario said, some like it, some don't. Some SWEAR by them saying they're the greatest 12 ever.
Maybe it's in my head and i dislike them because of all the blood lost while changing strings on those damned things.
I also prefer to have more access up the neck. |
