Location: Taxed To Death State | I got my 1657 today, tweaked the truss rod as it was pretty much finger tight, bow removed and strung it up with some bronze phosphors. You guys were right this thing did not disappoint. Sounds freaking awsome, loud and proud. Added bonus was that all of the original case candy, key and a new pack of 1919's still in the case from 1980. A keeper for sure.

Location: Boise, Idaho | I mentioned in another thread that I saw one on Craigslist from Olympia, Washington. I think it was actually an 1157, but dropped off Craigslist right after I saw it. It reappeared and I did some further checking. Unfortunately, it has a crack from bridge to bottom that looks deep. That turned me off, so it's still there for the taking. |

Location: Taxed To Death State | I really miss my 1869 that I sold to POVATION, this baby eases the pain. Sounds very much like it, in fact a tad better with the deeper bowl. Good way to start the weekend. Just need a beer now. |

Location: SoCal | Twice I have bought one...1st one I released it (actually for a little less than I paid for it and after making some finish crack repairs) to an OFC'er who IMHO needed it more than me. 2nd one, an OFC'er was so upset because he had planned to make a final eBay bid and moaned about how much he loved the guitar, 'it wasn't fair', and would use it at church . Foolish me, I contacted the seller to send it to him. OFC'er has it but never reimbursed me. Al has a saying for that.
It is a great guitar. |

Location: Jet City | I really miss my XXXX that I sold to POVATION Yep. Many of us have uttered this exact phrase. Just from me he has an EA Viper, a cutaway Adamas I (1587), and a black Custom Legend 1779-5GC. The Legend was a cool limited one off done for GC. All black, no fret markers, just abalone edging the fretboard and ebony tuner buttons. The body had the abalone inlays but with black binding. really cool. I gotta find me a pic of that one

Location: Maine | I have Patch's former 1157. Great guitar. Wish I had taken better care of a 1657 I once had. Didn't realize exactly what it was in my youth. Only one I've ever seen with and abalone herringbone rosette TJR |

Location: Chicago | I took over Stephen's 1581 ("Black Adamas" six years ago. It has dominated ever since. Studio snobs and pros have had to recognize! I had never played an Adams before. Now I play nothing else. |

Location: Taxed To Death State | Thanks! I did get a chance to enjoy one Saturday night while playing with a friend. He wants to retire his Alverez now and step up to an Ovation. |

| My 1657 was my only Axe from the mid 80s till a few years ago when I gave her to my daughter. I gave her a choice of a brand new guitar or the 1657 and she didn't even pause.
I get to play it when she comes home from school so that's nice.
Big sound and can play just about any kind of music with it.
Enjoy! |
