hey i'm brian, i play a little guitar, and bass, been hanging around here for awhile thought i'd join, got a thing for ovation magnums, own 1 wish i owned more thought this would be a good place to be.

As long as you don't leave them plugged in they don't suck up batteries any more than anything else. When I played mine I put batteries in each gig anyway, but even with several months between gigs, the batteries lasted... I just didn't trust them not to fail when I needed them, so I replaced them for each event. And yes, while I currently only have a Magnum I and II and a PF-22 and UltraBass, I have had III's, IV's and even a Fretless I. All awesome.

that's a killer collection, i'm jealous. i wonder how the battery story got to be so widely spread about, maybe because at the time an 18v system was rare?
