rare guitar???

itsjustme Posted 2014-04-17 10:35 AM (#485224) Subject: rare guitar??? Joined: April 2014 Posts: 1 Hello all. I'm a long time Ovation guitar user and new here at these forums. I have a simple question .... a "hybrid" electric Ovation guitar was given to me about 6 or 7 years ago at NAMM. It's an electric solid body with pickups and acts as such but it has one knob which can blend in an acoustic modeled guitar .... think the newer Line 6 Variax guitars for an example. My question is, did Ovation ever actually release something like this or do I have a one-off? I do know that they hadn't perfected the modeling part but it actually sounds pretty good!
