on the custom legend 2079lx why is it on the main ovation website it says this guitar has a AAA sitka spruce top but on other dealers sites they claim it has a solid engelmann spruce top ? just curious about which one is true ??

FWIW, the only Englemann Ovation I know of is the 2005 Collectors. (It wouldn't be the first time if I was wrong though....)

Never believe what you read. There have been errors on the Ovation site and there are certainly errors on dealers sites. Somewhere in the fine print of each it says the equivilent of "Good luck holding us to any claims that we make"

thanks ya'll .. just wondered because on different forums and sites some would say engelmann and others would say sitka .. thanks for clearing it up just bought one and waiting for it to get here .. was looking for louder unplugged sound than the 1777lx i had

You made a good choice. If you're looking for louder, this ought to do it.
