I owned one for several years and sold it a few years ago, and would really love to get another one. Hopefully the QOTSA fad has worn off and they're not so ungodly expensive anymore. Anyway, if anyone here has one they wouldn't mind parting with, hit me up.

Al doesn't mess around. He doesn't have a sense of humour. If he says he has one of those, he does.

I'd rather pay more for one in original condition, so good luck to anyone else interested.

Al's photo didn't show on my computer... and I figured that I ain't the only one.
So I managed to get it over into the OFC Albums.

I don't believe that you will find one in original condition since they have all been played.
There was one on eBay that sold for about $950 that had a broken/repaired headstock joint.
As to that QOTSA thing wearing-off?...
After some people invested $2000 in a budget guitar, I doubt that they will let them go for cheap.
Good luck in your search.

I just meant one that hasn't been routed like that one has. This one had a headstock repair too, that doesn't really bother me, nor does the unoriginal knobs, missing truss cover, missing pickup covers, or missing backplate. That stuff can be made/found (maybe). I owned one in original condition a few years ago, so I know they're out there. Had to sell it because I had an apartment fire and needed the money to help get my life back.

It's cool it may have been owned by Josh, but I don't personally care about that. The string-thru routes is what really bugs me. I offered him quite a bit more than $950. So yeah, I'm interested to see what he'd take for it since my offer was too low, I guess. It was nice of him to dig it out and offer it. I really appreciate that.

hold it there big boy.
I had not prepared this guitar for sale and it was you that insisted you see pics of it immediately. I told you the issues up front. They will eventually be resolved.
I found a pic of josh using that guitar last night. I will have to down load it and save it.
for all the chatter about this guitar I only got one offer which was too low. I guess as usual no one wants to step up to the plate.

I can't step up to the plate if I don't know where the ballpark is.

If that's the guitar I think it is, it has an interesting history. It would also be the one that Josh was seen playing for many years.

Al is that the guitar that was "customized" by "NBC" ?

Well if you can trust wiki (and in this case I believe you can..

"Josh's guitar of choice for recording and live use in C standard, Josh first modified his original black model with a Tune-o-Matic style bridge and stop tailpiece in 1997. In 2000, he acquired his sunburst model as a backup while in Europe before modifying it to have a string-through body in late 2001. In 2003 he acquired his final GP- a wine red model, and almost immediately had it modified to the identical specs of the sunburst model's string-through body. It was used infrequently throughout 2003 on performances such Letterman and Leno before retiring all three guitars in early 2004."
