When replacing frets, is it necessary to replace all of them, or just to ones in need?

All of the tutorials and DIY information I have found show all frets being removed and replaced, with no mention of doing only a few, but my 1127 needs only frets 1-4 done.

Thanks, any input is welcome.

I've done many partial refrets. As long as the size can be matched it's not a big deal at all.

Thanks for the feedback. That is what I had assumed, but you know what they say about assuming... and also about not asking stupid questions...

Probably no sin in being ignorant, but being stupid, as in repeating bad choices.
