Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | Basically, Bar Chords in 4/4, sparse and clipped. Tone, sharp then mute, sharp then mute with fretting hand. Here's one strum:
4/4 time
1/4rest, down/upmute, 1/4 rest, down/upmute repeat.
Probably didn't explain that well. But the key is being able to mute with the left hand.
Use the bridge pup only and crank the treble. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I clip the strums, synchopate on the muted up strokes, and avoid sevenths. Think of the quarter notes as triplets and play the 1st and 3rd notes of the triplets. Not sure if this is technically accurate, but I play what I hear and this is what I hear. |

I got one of these
with rasta hair extensions in Mexico last year.
That and bloodshot eyes makes it real mon. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I knew I said that wrong. Think 4/4 time with many of the beats represented by a dotted eighth tied to a sixteenth with the sixteenth being the muted upward strum. I need a chalkboard! No, better yet, I don't know anything about this. |

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | There are a couple of strums they use in reggae. The one I use I tried to describe ... let me try again, think 4/4 time, every 1/4 gets a down up stroke, only touch the strings on the second 1/4 and mute the upstroke. |
