Location: Phoenix AZ | For Sale: ADAMAS I 2006 MODEL 1687-8 REVERSE BLUEBURST.
This is my personal guitar Adamas I model 1687-8 from 2006. Don't confuse this with the current model 1687GT (and it's $5500. list price), this guitar is the Real McCoy from 2006 built in limited numbers to the same specs and details of the original Adamas I. It has the metallic speckled deep bowl and the stereo FET pre-amp with wooden volume and tone controls (the so-called 2-Knobber). This guitar is a classic in every way and has the sound that will knock you for a loop if you've never heard one of these.
If you are reading this thread you KNOW what this guitar is, so I will spare the details. Just do a Search. Condition is virtually Un-played. To be honest I bought it as more of a "trophy" than a guitar to be played. Case is in similar fine condition, maybe a few scuffs just from being stored. If you want to own one of Ovation's finest pieces ... this is it.
Yours for $2200. w/ FREE FedEx shipping in the 48 US states. Will consider reasonable payment plan.

WOW...Stunning!
+1. The guitars that are for sale now is kind of mind boggling to me. Between this one, the FUD, the OFC II...these are all incredible guitars at great prices. |

Location: SoCal | Now that Dave indicates SOLD, I have the 2006 1687-8 (blue) reissue and two of the 2006 1687-2 reissue (2 of the 4 run of red). In addition, a 1981 1687-7. After obtaining #50 of the original pre-production slothead, they are not getting played which is sad. All as close to 'as new' as possible, two are still in their cases. EM me at ascalman 'at' AOL if interested. |

Location: SoCal | Dave, I knew that you had one but figered you may have sold it by now :}
No idea. One of the two that I have...considering dry brushing the molding with gold paint giving it a similar effect to the 47RI.
Obviously, a very rare reissue and the reissues have the upgraded two knob pre-amp. |
