I own a 1980 UK2,In all the years I have owned it I never saw another guitar like it, or even knew it's name! I got it from a coke addict who was in a hurry to sell all his possessions. I played through a Roland Jazz Chorus 120 with a lot of metal effects and got a really rich full sound. Even my Fender friends wanted to play it. Unfortunately I was in a car crash that has taken my ability to play, so it sat in its case for a decade. I'm refurbishing it now and gonna see if I can find a way to play it again. This site has been great in educating me about this guitar! I'm in need of a couple of parts, and have a few questions. Thanks for sharing your technical wits about this remarkable instrument!
