Location: Central Massachusetts | Bobbo's "Hey Baby (Come Sit on Santa's Knee)" came up on the ol' holiday music randomizer tonight and I figured it was worth a reminder of some great holiday music generated by the OFC's membership... Give it a spin! Post your faves!
(I know we have had similar threads in previous years. Nice to make it fresh though. )

Location: Boise, Idaho | Will see Bobbo and Kim this week. That's one of many great songs on the OFC CDs. I've become obsessed with TSO, thanks to Old City Bar and that Christmas light show that went viral on YouTube a few years ago. |

Location: Steeler Nation, Hudson Valley Contingent | Every year I hope to record some more Christmas Stuff, but it's looking less likely this year with every busy day. So here are links to what I've shared on this board in the past. This year, I've been working on arrangements for O Holy Night and Silent Night, but they aren't quite ready yet, although Silent Night is getting very close. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy hearing these again.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Location: Tennessee | There were a TON of great Holiday songs from OFC'rs. I had a great thread a few years ago where they were all posted; but alas I had MP3s all posted on the NING site which got killed off so they were lost. Yes, Old City Bar by Cliff was terrific, but the way he transitioned the song into a Tull-esque God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen was absolutely brilliant. Linus and Ukey by StandingOvation was equally impressive. Maybe I can find a way to get asll that stuff reported somewhere. |

We just got back from a trip to Hawaii and over there all the shops/malls/hotels are playing the same old christmas spoo we've known and hated for years but all with a Hawaiian slant. A new definition of hell......

Location: Boise, Idaho | SWMBO has a vast collection of Christmas cds that she starts playing around Thanksgiving. I got tired of the older ones, so I like to add a few every couple years. We have so many now that some, like Sergio Lara's and the OFC cd, don't come up in the mix as often.
We've gone to 3 concerts this season, starting with TSO, then a reunion of local artists from the 70s, and last week a Christmas program with Rosalie Sorrels, a local folk singer. That was a nice variety and change from the usual barrage of department store standards. |

NSFW or if there are small children around (or those who might be easily offended).
Might be advisable to not be drinking anything at the time either |

They did a rendition of "O Holy Night" that woulda blown your mind. We brought the parents and the kids this year. For kicks and giggles and some pure silliness, Bob Rivers has a couple classic Xmas albums that are a must-hear.
