Location: Keepin' It Weird in Portland, OR | I have a 1718 coming by UPS. [ Hey, it might make it]
The tracking number begins with a "K"... (ex: K012 3456 789)
Plus it does not have an estimated delivery date...
I have never seen a tracking number that begins with a "K"... Is this something new?
Is the K-series for cheap bulk shipments or something?
In our changing world, have they just decided not to guess-timate a delivery date anymore?
Anybody? |

| I've never seen a U.P.S. Tracking Number like that. I just received a package, and it had the familiar 1Z prefix. I deal with U.P.S. on a daily basis, and I don't think that is a U.P.S. number. Usually you will get a delivery date from them, as well. I would be checking in to that further. Good luck, and let us know what you find out. |

Location: Tennessee | Chances are it's an internal tracking number from whoever packaged and brokered your shipment with UPS ... I used to see that a lot from MBE and The UPS Stores before their systems got fully integrated with the UPS system. May still be the case in some places. There should be a real "1Z" tracking number somewhere on the receipt. |

Hey! Tornadoes! It's all over the news right now, and the guitar departed Jacksonville FL yesterday morning...
It might have got sidetracked in MS, AL or FL.
Nevermind... :p
That still is a weird tracking number. |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I have seen a couple of the "K" tracking numbers. I do not know what they mean or how they originate, but I have seen two that I can remember in the last year like that. |

Is the K-series for cheap bulk shipments or something? First- You should NOT post the tracking number here.
Second- UPS Shipments beginning with "K" are legitimate.
Third -if you want more explanation of the UPS "K" - PM me. |
