I'm looking for an Optima preamp, battery box and XLR to replace in my Adamas W591. The former owner had pulled all the electronics out for some reason. I know that I can get from Ovation, but was hoping that someone had a good used one out there.

That will be a real tough find.
Its not something you would replace as an upgrade.
Most likily it will be from a guitar that is beyond
fixing.

Greg,

Are you afraid of a little fiberglass work?

I've re-worked a couple of my Ovations to install OpPro's in them.
I got these OpPro's by patiently watching ebay. About $100 each for the module, about $50 for the can and outputs w/wiring from the factory.

How'd they turn out? I actually thought of that but have no experience doing anything like that. I even saw an OP50 go cheap on eBay. But I'll wait it out a while. Pehaps someome out there knows of a smashed up guitar with salvage potential. I'd prefer going with the original cut outs for the Optima preamp and battery casing.

Check with John Budny at the Factory. I know they have Optimas in stock.

Edit: Oh, sorry. Didn't see that you had already checked. Never mind.
