Location: Florence,SC | Got 2 questions for you about a Breadwinner/Deacon Owner's Manual for a 1256-1, serial # E 17098. It says guitar was bought in 3-17-1981. I already had a listing of that serial number for a Breadwinner Limited in Barnwood finish (which would be -B, not -1).
So my first question is did the Limited have an official model number (1256)?
And the 2nd question is was the guitar information that was written in the manual done by the store manager that received the guitar, by the Ovation factory before it was shipped, or the customer after purchase? Al, you may know that one.
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks, Dennis

Location: Florence,SC | He said he doesn't know who writes that information, so he couldn't speculate. On Jerome's site, I noticed he had photos of Owner's Manuals that had no writing in them. So that would eliminate Ovation writing it in before shipping. That would leave either the seller or the buyer. Of course, that's just deduction ... almost anything is possible. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I have a vague recollection of the seller writing the model number and purchase price down in my manual for the Matrix I bought in 1977. Maybe Al could tell us if he writes the model number in the manual or if it comes to him with the model written in. |
