You know, I hate it when I am looking for something and the only description provided by the seller is the standard manufacturers boilerplate.

Attention sellers: I know what the specs are. That's why I'm looking. I want to know about this particular unit: Condition, bruises, scratches, history, why you are selling, etc.

This was brought on by an auction for a Bose L1 where the seller doesn't even make a representation that it works. Just page after page of specs from Bose. Sorry, buddy. I'm not bidding.

Ok. I feel better now.

I've contacted more than one seller with a polite, "Thanks for the specs, but what is the condition?"

That's usually a dumb question if it's being sold new, though.

Not really. At least you've gotten them to state the condition. It's good to have it in writing.

It's even worse on 'Craigslist'! No model number,
no condition, etc.
