How about bringing back the old style silver foil lables??? Emboss a picture of the Mothership on it if you like.
Better yet, use foil lables on the USA models and paper lables on the Celebs.
Admit it.
This just makes way to much sense. |

Please don't get me started ...

If I see the labels, it's because the guitar is on the wall instead of my knee and something needs to be done about that. As far as I can remember, Ovation has better labels than any other manufacturer. I look at those when I'm trying to figure out what kind of guitar I'm looking at. |

On wood box guitars you stick a tanish color paper lable on some tanish color wood and that's just fine. However with an Ovation you have that pitch black bowl color. Any lable on that type of backround stands out. Add to that the stunning Ovation rosettes which acts like a picture frame and you can see how, more than other brands, the eye is drawn to the lable.
Have I made my case??? |

Have I made my case??? Nope. But you actually have people look at your guitars. Mine are there for me and SWMBO to look at. She doesn't care about the label and if I see the label it means I'm looking at it instead of playing. |

Have I made my case??? I wish that they would have put a foil label in the 97 Collector models. It would have added to the vintage look of the guitar. |

I've miss-spelled "label" through the whole darn thread. This kinda thing drives Moody crazy(er).
There goes all my credibility. |

MADE IN NEW HARTFORD, CT
OVATION
HAMER
GUILD
TACOMA
All they have to do is circle the brand they want.
What's wrong with that? |

Schroeder can vouch for me.
Maybe I shouldn't have added that? |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | I think it'd be really neat to have foil labels in different metallic tones--a golden-toned one for the guitars with golden tuners, the old foil tone for the chromes, pewter grey, maybe a steeley blue. I mean, if the custom shop will allow us to order the rest of the guitar to our specifications, why not the label? (Preparing to duck the barrage of tomatoes and eggs that is sure to follow......)
