hi,

Firstly, the heel bolt is on the inside, I may not have been clear on this.

2ndly, I butchered it, unfortunately!!

3rdly, Hi Muzza, Im what you Qld'ers call a "mexican", Newcastle NSW. :D

4thly, It was never on EBay, ive owned it since 87. :D

5thly, I think from looking at some ID links that its a Legend of some sorts???, I remember the sticker inside saying "Applause", is this a model type?
I say legend because the bottom of the neck is not carved or scollaped, it has diamond shape fret inlays with a round one on the 12th and 19th fret. The bridge is uncarved/undecorated wood with 2 round pearl inlays. chrome machine heads and gold decal. It doesnt have any bells and whistles so im assuming it nothing special, model wise.

6thly, NIL Dihydrogen monoxide damage, (was it a wise ass crack in reference to the paddle??? :D )

AND

the intonation and buzz has stopped, I american expressed it to raise the action and it's purring like a kitten once again. the heel issue remains due to lack of cabinet approval for a funding grant to repair it, Though i spose i could sell a kidney!!!!

thanks 2 all for your help, very appreciative.

TJ ,I really have no idea :D :D

Levi no problem really lol

In terms of Ovation, the name Kaman should mean something to you.

As in Charles William Kaman 11 aka Mauvais Beal

Hang around Levi. You get used to it eventually.

We've got another Aussie member, Ozwatto, who's not too far from you, (by Australian standards) somewhere around Coffs, I believe. But we've not heard from him in a few weeks.

I dont know how traditianal you guys are when it comes to Ovations, but check out my new one, I used the Ovy on 4 of the tracks thru my old Boss ME-5 with big OD against manufacturers recomendations no doubt (theres also some clean and natural), be interesting to see if it ruffles any feathers around here!! Are there any left i havent already ruffled ?

cheers
