Location: Marlton, NJ | I FINALLY got my 1112 back from the mothership today and I now get to see in person what everyone else has been raving about!
First - a little history:
A little after I first joined the OFC, I was doing my best Trader Jim imitation - I traded a celebrity and a Tak eg10c for a nice Custom Balladeer. When I received the Balladeer, it had taken some damage in shipping - finish cracks, dings, etc. It was still playable, so I just kept it and played it. The seller (other trader) offered to make amends, but I didn't think the situation warrented it.
Anyway - spring forward a few months - I decided to "upgrade" the CB with an Op-Pro that I purchased on Ebay. The physical install of the can and jack went well... the bridge was a whole other story. I BUTCHERED it!
After that, I pretty much left it in the corner gathering dust for about a year. I thought about just chalking it all up to experience, but everytime I looked at it, I loved the burst more. In November of last year, I decided to see what all the hub-bub was about and sent it off to the mothership along with a bridge and an abalone rosette that I had also acquired from ebay.
I couldn't wait anymore and emailed Budny today to see when it would be done.. the response was "looks like it shipped yesterday...". I went on to UPS to track it and lo and behold it was out for delivery this morning (that was fast!).
Without further ado....
Here are the before pics:
Lots of dings and scratches, and the rosette was cracked in a couple of spots:

It sounds as good as it ever has - it's definitely a cannon! It is perfectly setup, as expected. This will likely be the one that I grab for playing at church from now on. |

Location: Marlton, NJ | Woody makes pickguards (and other fantastic custom works), I install op-pros, maybe you should start making foil labels. I'll take one :D I don't know what you would call it though... 1112 on steroids? 1612? 1712? |

| Very, very pretty Mike. They really do great work there. That's one to be proud of.
I'll probably send my 1537 up after Amelia for the full beauty treatment. |
