Great guitar, I really like mine. One in near mint should go for ~$500, seen 'em with minor finish checks for as low as $300. Paid $280 for mine at a pawn shop (w/o case). |

Location: Florida Central Gulf Coast | I purchased my PM SB with OHSC for $525 shipped/insured last October. Both are at least '9's. I love the richness that flows from the ol' timer.
It took me over two months of correspondence to 'adopt' this beauty. IMO, it has some of the most pleasing sounds and looks Ovation ever made.
I'm such a PU assy for slotheads! :D |

Location: Lakewood, Ohio | I have a minty sunburst Pacemaker. I wonder if Dr. Jarvic came up with that name? I get it out once and a while and play the same old iconic 12 strings songs; Hey Mr. Tamborine Man, old Beatles, some new Beatles like here Comes the Sun, Bon Jovi, Like a Cowboy BUT NO STAIRWAY per Wayne and Garth. Then I put it back in the case for next time i want to play the same basic repetour. I have an econmist view on 12 strings; when times a tough theyre usually the first guitars that go up for sale. Given all the 12 strings on EBAY right now, its a bellweather indicator of a recession. |

Location: Vernon CT | New Beatles???? :confused: It's been a long time since I've heard any Beatle song refered to as "new". But, I hear what you are saying about "12's" There are a lot of songs that sound good on a 12 string (this could be a new thread)
Add "Happy Christmas" and "Hotel California" to your 12 string repituor. |

Location: Lakewood, Ohio | To me, Old beatles is when they had beatle haircuts and were still bubblegum pop. new beatles sort of started with Revolver, but crystalized with Sgt. peppers, possibly magical mystery tour. I like em all. My first 45 (rememebr those?) was Help and i like the bside (Im Down) better. My first real album was Magiacal Mystery Tour. |

Location: Lakewood, Ohio | Theres usually 500 or so Ovations for sale on EBAY. Probably 1/4 of that is some variation of a 12 string. Theyre all good, just different. Just when you get your Pacemaker, youll pine for that shallow bowl Elite 12 stringer because its more comfy and has less feedback. Then youll start to realize the nuances and virtues of the carbon top, and your off to Adamas-land. The fun never stops; its a disease known as GAS. |

Location: Warren,Pa. | I love the sound and feel of my Pacemaker. Every now and again I have a longing for something "sexier" in a 12...maybe a Guild with Flamed Maple, or a shallow bowl Adamas I or II.
But that's just about looks. I'm convinced no other 12 sounds better or has a nicer feeling neck.
