I've just uploaded my version of Jr. Walker's "Shotgun" on my MySpace.
It was just a case of me messing around in the home studio, with nothing in mind to record - so I came up with this. After listening to it in the car for a few days, I decided that it was cool enough to put up on the 'net and share with the rest of the world.
Yes - that's me on bass, drums, and vocals.
Please excuse the drumming...
Let me know what ya think!
Oh, and no Ovations were harmed during the recording of this tune (hee hee!).

You all are true gentlemen! I can't seem to get anyone else interested in listening to my stuff, including family and friends. Where I'm at, it's either hip hop or death metal. Otherwise it's not considered music. |

Location: CA | That rocked. I hear ya about no one caring. A musicians lot is a tough one, especially today when so much non-music is masquerading as such. Having just listened to all your posts (those are all you, right?) . . . day-amn, I'd buy a CD (please put that '56 Chevy on the cover.) You are great. |

Location: Flushing, MI | Thanks so much! I'm getting a lot of questions elsewhere on what amp I used, etc.
There are no amps on any of the electric guitar stuff on my MySpace. It's all direct with the old Morley JD-10 preamp, with it's speaker simulator on. On the "Shotgun" first and middle solo, I'm using an old Rat in front of the JD-10. It's my favorite guitar device out there. I like it WAY more than a POD, or SansAmp. Live, I'll use it in front of a regular amp, with the speaker simulator off. |
