As a kid, sometimes you have no choice but to be subjected to your parent's music. I can still remember getting into mom's '74 Volvo with the 8-track player playing either Hot August Nights, Love at the Greek, or Beautiful Noise. She was fanatical about the guy. My first big concert was going with mom to see Neil at the Cow Palace.
That said, you got to admit, he was a pretty cool cat. I've been a fan ever since.
Great disk Karl. I dig on that Adamas too. |

Location: Marlton, NJ | Damon - ditto! My first big concert was Neil Diamond at the Forest Hill tennis stadium in NY, probably around the same time. Some of the first songs I learned on the guitar were Shilo, Solitary Man, Song Sung Blue and so on. |

Location: North Carolina | I always liked the opening of Hot August night with the strings giving way to the drums then the band kicking in with the riff to Crunchy Granola Suite. |
