Just dropped a couple of bucks on a 1581 Adamas at the Seattle Guitar Show this afternoon.
She is an absolute dream of a guitar.

The 1581 info I find is pre 2000 or current related to the KK model.
(have looked at Web, OFC, Ovation, Ovation Tribute etc)
My hope is that someone here knows more than I about this instrument.

Serial number range is indicating 2010 production (per the serial number tool 23156-23402>>2010)
Has a OP-Pro preamp
Has a reverse red burst
Upper sound holes only

If yours has the Grape Leaves (yup, that's what they are supposed to be) with an OP-Pro, just figure that yours is a KK edition without the intake gasket epaulet.
Does your have a smooth binding like the KK, or the bumpy-ropey binding? (just curious)
2010 is pretty new, so that is newer than the 30 Anniversary issues with the two-knob preamp.

Congratulations.
Now post some guitar-porn.

sounds like a newer adamas. it would be the same specs for the most part as the pre-2000 but with a newer preamp.

my 1581-RI is hands down my favorite to play, especially unplugged. congrats.
