Just scored this beauty! I've not seen one without the large pickguard before. I guess another variation on the theme. Sounds really nice with the big pickup in this position. Not as beefy as my Magnum I but I really love the tone. Maybe it has something to do with the different wood for the body and neck? Pots are dated 19th week of 1979.
